Stonegate Farm would like to welcome our newest member of our training program, Melinda Drury.
We want to congratulate and wish her lots of sucess with her new position as our assistant trainer. Melinda
will be looking for a new IEA Team for the 2010-2011 season. Kristie and Nick are excited to have her working
with them and wish her all the luck!
Here is a little bit about Melinda's riding career:
Melinda
started riding at the age of eight with Kristie when she was training in Alpharetta, GA. Melinda went
on to win lots of awards with the GHJA. After Kristie moved to Chicago in 1999 Melinda concentrated on the "A" circuit
with her new horse, Payton. Melinda had a strong junior career in the Large Junior, USEF Medal, ASPCA Maclay and the Junior/Amateur
Jumpers. Melinda qualified for the ASPCA Maclay's and went onto regionals.
In 2005, after graduating
from Northview High School, Melinda was recruited by University of Georgia's NCAA equestrian team on a full scholarship.
Melinda is finishing up her last year on the UGA equestrian team and graduating with a Bachelors degree in Spanish.
